Sweden Rock Festival (Pt. 2)

The third and fourth day on the festival normally the days that has the biggest names on the bill. This year is no exception, with Twisted Sister headlining the Friday and Mötley Crue headlining the Saturday.

The Friday had some strong bands this year. Motörhead, of course, was one of the most attended gigs. There was also some classic rock bands like Ugly Kid Joe, Blue Öyster Cult and Axel Rudi Pell along with a modern touch from The Darkness. Twisted Sister's gig was delivered by a Dee Snider in top shape, best TS gig in years according to reviews…

Twisted Sister - I Wanna Rock

Axel Rudi Pell - Temple of the King

The Saturday with Mötley Crue as the top act was another good day. Some afternoon rock by Bad Company and Lynyrd Skynyrd was followed by heavy Slade and later Crue. On one of the small stages swedish hard rockers Bonafide played a short set.

Bad Company - Can't Get Enough

Bonafide - Hard Livin' Man

To me, Mötley Crue is the most anticipated gig this year. Sure TS is good entertainers, but they lack some quality in the music. Crue is both good entertainers and they have some really solid material… One of my favorite bands. And according to reviews the show, of course, was great. Wish I could have been there.

Mötley Crue - Girls Girls Girls
