Metaltown is a two day festival, normally for bands that are a little heavier than what you get on Sweden Rock. To me the top names this year is In Flames, Within Temptation, Hammerfall and Sabaton. Other notable bands include Marilyn Manson, Anthrax and Slayer.
The festival is in Gothenburg, famous in Sweden for its great metal scene. Both In Flames and Hammerfall are Gothenburg-based bands, and they are the biggest and second biggest metal band from Sweden, respectively.
Fun fact: Sweden has the most metal bands per capita in the world… Take THAT pop music!!
